Ashley – 29 y/o – East Bay, CA – BA & MA in English

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. To date, in fact, I own over 1,000 books, ranging from YA to Nonfiction, Reference to Romance. I love to read. My love of books and reading has translated to a love of writing — something that helped me decide to pursue degrees in English. Ideally, I would love to instill a love of reading and literature in others, which is why I am currently in a dual single-subject teaching credential (English) and Masters in Urban Education program. My aim is to be a high school English teacher — something I have already dabbled in, as a full time substitute teacher.

My intention for this blog is for it to function as a platform to discuss, muse, ponder, and reflect on all of the things that go into who I am — the budding teacher, the veteran student, and the constant creator. Here, I will be posting about my adventures in subbing, discoveries in school, forays in writing, and all of the little bits and bobbles that are representative of who I am.
